About This Service
Our access to healthcare unit helps clients and others needing assistance to navigate benefits, entitlements, and insurance issues, both public and private. Our certified staff can assist with accessing benefits through:
- AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP)
- New York State of Health Marketplace
For New York residents, we can help clients with enrollment in insurance, individual health plans, Medicaid and Essential plans on the New York Health Marketplace. Additionally, we can provide clients with assistance in returning to work to assure access to care, stable housing, and income.
Appointments are available on Mondays and Wednesdays. We can accommodate walk-ins on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

No, dependent on the health benefits services you require, you may not need to become a client of GMHC?
Due to COVID-19, staff are providing remote (via-phone) intake services for people who wish to become a GMHC client and access services. We are also contacting clients in need of reassessments and conducting reassessments via phone. Staff will assess client needs and make referrals as appropriate both internally and externally.
