Making a difference in the lives of people living with or affected by HIV and/or AIDS is what we do, and we welcome you to join us in fulfilling our mission. The volunteering process begins with visiting our website at gmhc.org and reviewing the current open volunteer roles. The next step is to attend a Volunteer Open House which takes place every Wednesday at 10:30am and 6:30pm. No reservation is required for either time, and both take place on the 7th floor. The Volunteer Application can be found here, but you may also get one at the 7th floor reception desk before the meeting begins.
The Volunteer Open House is an opportunity to understand our core values and services while exploring which of our three main areas appeal to you. Further, you will have a conversation with the volunteer liaison to figure out the best match in a placement. Next, an interview is scheduled with the volunteer supervisor of the area you are interested in assisting in. Thus begins your volunteering experience.
