WHAT:

December 1, World AIDS Day annually provides opportunities to increase GMHC's visibility locally and nationally, and enhance our partnerships with community-based organizations through the coordination of events.  As 2011 marks the 30th year of HIV and AIDS, it is a time to reflect on the state of the epidemic while looking ahead to the work in 2012, particularly when GMHC turns 30 in January.

Below is the information about GMHC's HIV testing days and events before, on and after December 1.

World AIDS Day Testing Days

The staff of the David Geffen Center for HIV Prevention and Education will be offering free HIV testing at the following locations:

  • Tuesday, November 29, United Nations - 1 United Nations Plaza, 11:00 am - 7:00 pm (employees only)
  • Wednesday, November 30, Mercy College - Dobbs Ferry Campus 10:00 am - 4:00 pm (students and faculty only)
  • Thursday, December 1, El Museo del Barrio - 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, 1230 Fifth Avenue at 104th Street (open to the general public)
  • Thursday, December 1,  CUNY Tech - 25 Broadway 7th Floor, 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm (students and faculty only)
  • Friday, December 2, LGBT Community Center: Women's Game Night - 208 W. 13th Street, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm (open to the general public)
  • Saturday, December 3, True Colors Residence for LGBT Youth - 483 West End Avenue (residents only)
