New York, NY--On Sunday, December 15, Gay Men's Health Crisis will host the GMHC Holiday Cabaret at Joe's Pub at the Public Theater, featuring Broadway and cabaret performers. Proceeds will benefit GMHC's care services for over 13,000 people living with and affected by HIV and AIDS, as well as HIV testing and prevention programs, and public policy work at all levels of government.

"The Holiday Cabaret is a moving way to raise awareness and re-invigorate our response to the HIV and AIDS epidemic, with a goal to reduce new HIV infections," said GMHC CEO Kelsey Louie. "We are honored that these world-class entertainers have united to help us send a clear message that our work is not over."

From the earliest days of the AIDS epidemic, the Broadway, cabaret and other theatre communities have been a major force in raising public awareness and supporting organizations that provide services to people living with and affected by HIV and AIDS. Through decades of major contributions to fundraisers, commercials, and public service announcements, the Broadway, cabaret and other theatre performers have become a vital part of the community of AIDS activists.
