New York, NY — GMHC is highly encouraged by the initial information released about the budget agreement between the Mayor's Office and City Council. During the past year, GMHC and our allies have worked tirelessly with the City's leaders to progressively decrease the impact of HIV on all NYC's residents. We continue to strongly advocate for greater access to HIV prevention programs while also expanding access to care and treatment services. As we work towards President Obama's goal of an AIDS-Free Generation, NYC must remain a steadfast leader in this struggle.

GMHC commends Mayor Bloomberg, Speaker Quinn and General Welfare Chair Annabel Palma for their work on behalf of the hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers living with and affected by HIV and AIDS.
