Maple Apple Crisp with Oat Crust

May be eaten for dessert or as a special breakfast treat.

 

Ingredients:

4 Apples
1t Lemon juice
1/2c Maple syrup
1/4lb plus 2T Butter, melted
1c Rolled oats
1/2c Flour
1c Packed Brown Sugar
1t Cinnamon

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut unpeeled apples in half, remove seed and stems. Cut into 1/2 inch slices, place in a bowl and toss with lemon juice. Place apples in a baking dish. Pour maple syrup and 2T maple syrup over the fruit. In a medium bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter. Mix with a fork until crumbly and sprinkle over fruit. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes. Serve warm. Serves 6.
