Amasake French Toast

Ingredients:

1c Amasake
1/2t Cinnamon
Pinch of Nutmeg
6 Slices of bread, preferably thicker cut slices
3T Butter or vegan alternative
Maple syrup

Directions:

In a mixing bowl, stir together the amasake and the spices.

Soak the bread in this mixture and allow to stand at least 5 minutes.

In a large skillet, melt the butter or vegan butter.

Cook the soaked bread over medium heat for about 5 minutes per side.

Serve with a dash of warmed maple syrup.
