You have several options. You can charge a donation to a credit
card immediately by clicking on any of the "Donate Now" buttons
located throughout this website. Or, you can provide your credit
card information over the phone by calling Peter Pelusio at 212.367.1585
any time between 10 am and 6 pm EST. If you'd prefer to make a
donation with a check, please make it payable to GMHC and mail

Unless goods or services (such as tickets to an event) are exchanged
for your donation, it is fully tax-deductible.

How can I make a donation in honor or
in memory of a loved one?
You have several options. You can charge a donation to a credit
card immediately by clicking on any of the "Donate Now" buttons
located throughout this website. There is a section of the online
form where you can designate the gift as a tribute to a loved one,
and provide contact information for the person you would like us
to notify of the gift.
You can also provide your credit card information over the phone
by calling Peter Pelusio at 212.367.1585 any time between 10 am
and 6 pm EST. If you'd prefer to make a donation with a check,
please make it payable to GMHC and mail it to the address below:

Please be sure to include the name of the person to whom the gift
is a tribute. If you'd like GMHC to send a notification card to
the honoree or to their friends or family members, please include
their contact information as well.
In instances where many donations are expected to be made in tribute
to a single person, we're happy to keep a running list of the donations
that come in and provide regular updates to friends or family members.

How can I get a receipt of my donation
that I can use for tax purposes?
GMHC automatically acknowledges all donations we receive, unless
we are not provided with a donor's address. Online contributions
will be acknowledged by e-mail, and all other contributions will
be acknowledged by mail. If you did not receive a receipt of your
gift, we'd be happy to fax or mail you a copy. Please contact Peter
Pelusio at 212.367.1585 or peterp@gmhc.org to
request receipts.
Please note that because of the extremely large volume of contributions
we receive in support of our largest fundraisers, AIDS Walk New
York and Move Against AIDS, we can only acknowledge gifts greater
than $250.00, as required by law. For donations to these fundraisers
that are less than $250.00, a cancelled check or credit card statement
is sufficient proof of your charitable contribution. If you need
additional documentation, please contact Peter Pelusio at peterp@gmhc.org or
212.367.1585. All AIDS Walk donations and sponsorships made online
through the Kintera website will be automatically acknowledged
by e-mail.
How can I purchase tickets to a GMHC Special
Event?
You can purchase event tickets through this website or by calling
our Special Events Line at 212.367.1472. To find out more about
upcoming events and tickets that are currently available, please

How can I get my company to match my gift
to GMHC?
First, speak to someone in your company (typically, a human resources
representative or someone in the charitable giving/philanthropy
division) to find out what kind of paperwork your company requires
for a matching gift. When you make a donation to GMHC, be sure
to include the necessary paperwork from your company. Usually,
you'll be required to fill out a section of the matching gift form;
we'll fill out the rest and send it back to your company with whatever
additional documentation they require.

I would like to make an in-kind donation
to GMHC. What goods does GMHC accept and to whom should I speak?
The MATCH (Moving Ahead Toward Career Horizons) Program, GMHC's
Transition to Work Program, is looking for new or gently used (must
be dry cleaned) men's and women's business attire (suits, dress
shirts, ties, and shoes) that program participants can wear to

Each year, GMHC distributes 500 gift bags to our clients at our
Holiday Dinner and Gift Giveaway. These gifts are graciously donated
to us and then festively wrapped and packaged by volunteers. Winter
wear items such as gloves, stocking caps, scarves, fleece pullovers,
umbrellas, and other gift items such as books and CDs, are ideal
for our gift bags. If you would like to donate a significant quantity
of new items that would make great gifts, please contact Rick Isaminger

How can I order GMHC merchandise, such

items we have available. You can print an order form and mail it

Please call Peter Pelusio at 212.367.1585. Peter manages the Benefactors
Monthly Giving Program and can process any changes to your account
or answer any questions about the program.
How can be removed from GMHC's donor
solicitation list?
Please send an e-mail request to Peter Pelusio at peterp@gmhc.org that
includes your full name and address. Because we work in advance
on most of our mailings, it may take six to eight weeks for your
name to be completely phased out of our mail cycle. Please accept
our apologies for this inconvenience.
How can I obtain a copy of GMHC's annual
report?
You can view a PDF (which requires Adobe Acrobat) version of GMHC's annual
report. To request a hard copy, please send an e-mail that
includes your name and mailing address to friends@gmhc.org.
How can I notify GMHC of a change in
my mailing or billing address?

includes both your old and new addresses.
Can I get information about donations
I may have made to GMHC in the past?
In most cases, we'll be able to access information about your past
donations in our donor database. For questions about past donations
or to request a copy of an acknowledgment letter for a past gift,

at the time the donation was made) in your request.
