Guest speakers: The Honorable Bill Perkins, NYS Senator; Marjorie Hill, PhD, Chief Executive Officer, GMHC; Kim Pearson, Professor of Journalism, Interactive Media, The College of New Jersey; Bennett Singer, Co-Producer/Director, Brother Outsider; Edgar Rivera Colon, Fellow, Institute for Research on Women at Rutgers University. Moderated by: Donna Lieberman, Executive Director, New York Civil Liberties Union. A reception will follow discussion. The event is co-hosted by GMHC and the New York Civil Liberties Union.

Giving Power to Women: A Photo Essay Depicting the Life of a Woman and Daughter Living with HIV in Sub-Saharan Africa

Screening and discussion of video on microbicides as an HIV prevention method

The event is co-hosted by GMHC and the New York Microbicides Working Group.

A public launch of the Women's Institute next in its series of social marketing campaigns, "We're Not Taking it Lying Down!"

From Us 2 U Sistah 2: Women of Color Telling Their Stories Through Quilting
Tuesday, March 25, 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, 4th floor
The event will feature a quilt display and reception for the Women Institute's program, Positive Prevention for Women, and its participants who created the quilt. Lunch will be provided. RSVP: Call (212) 367-1325 or write to nellym@gmhc.org.

Ladies Lunch
Wednesday, March 26, 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, 12th floor Dining Room
The lunch for women clients includes a discussion on the topic of managing side-effects of menopause and pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS) through healthy eating and other nutritional resources.

A NEW You! Day of Wellness
Friday, March 28, 10:00 am to 4:30 pm
In commemoration of National Nutrition Month, the event features a day of nutrition and wellness activities including: aromatherapy, dance, healthy cooking, as well as workshops on how foods affect moods, getting the most out of doctor's appointments. Breakfast and lunch are provided. Clients will receive a metro card for participation in the entire program. RSVP: Call (212) 367-1008 or write to toml@gmhc.org.
