Second Annual Fashion Forward Proves a Success
for Gay Men's Health Crisis

The Fashion Industry Shows its Support by Coming Out to Celebrate

November 12, 2008, New York, NY — Fashion Forward, a fashion show hosted by Tim Gunn benefiting Gay Men's Health Crisis' ongoing effort in raising awareness around HIV and AIDS and assisting all those New York who are affected by the disease was a huge success. With close to 700 people in attendance and approximately $225,000 raised, the crowd was a mixture of GMHC's board members, New York's fashion world and charitable donors all on hand to show their support and help make a difference. A silent auction featuring items from a veritable who's who of fashion kicked off the night which lead up to the buzz-worthy fashion show featuring SS09 looks from six of today's brightest designers, including: Michael Bastian, Betsey Johnson, Ports 1961by Tia Cibani, Tim Hamilton, Charles Nolan, and John Varvatos. Skylight Studios served as the perfect backdrop for guest to drink and mix amongst the items on auction while mingling with friends, peers, and special guests.
