GMHC Hopeful for New Leadership in New York State Senate
Statement by GMHC Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Marjorie J. Hill
November 5, 2008, New York, NY "For far too long the Republican leadership of the New York State Senate has bottled up bills that would benefit the public health of millions of New Yorkers, especially those living with HIV/AIDS and members of the LGBT community. With new leadership in Albany, GMHC is hopeful that such legislation will now come to fruition and therefore strengthen the State's response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic," said Marjorie J. Hill, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer of Gay Men's Health Crisis. "We are eager to work with the new Democratic majority and see the consideration and passage of vital legislation."
