GMHC Mourns the loss of Judith Verdino
June 5, 1955 June 13, 2008
New York, NY Gay Mens Health Crisis mourns the loss of Judith Verdino, whose creativity and dogged determination on behalf of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth and people living with HIV enriched the world around her.
Judi worked tirelessly, often in the background, to promote high quality services for some of the most vulnerable members New Yorkers. A proud lesbian, Judi was a strong believer in the power of community. She was a fierce advocate for the integrity and independence of our organizations, championing grassroots responses and supporting efforts to mobilize for change.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to her wife, family, and to all who loved her. She will be missed.
